At the invitation of the University of Antwerp, Matthias Six, QA expert at Recce, yesterday gave an inspiring guest lecture on software testing in agile environments. In his talk, he took the students through the evolution of a greenfield application into a complex, integrated application stack at mateco – a real-life example that perfectly illustrates how quality assurance changes throughout the life cycle of a software project.
“It was exciting and at the same time tremendous fun to be able to inspire young professionals. What I hope to have imparted to them above all is to always keep looking critically at your own processes and techniques – and to constantly strive for optimization within the given context,“
– Matthias Six, Recce
With this message, Matthias stressed the importance of continuous improvement and critically analyzing your testing processes – essential skills within modern agile teams.
The students also gained insights on test automation thanks to a session by David Henderickx of Cegeka. They concluded with a fascinating product demo of the SQAI Suite, given by Dean Bodart. This combination ensured a balanced and practice-oriented program on contemporary QA approaches.
A heartfelt thank you to the University of Antwerp and Prof. Serge Demeyer For the invitation and opportunity to share our expertise with tomorrow’s professionals.
