What you will do:

As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring the proper operation of the software production and management processes. At VDAB I&T, we build and manage the software used by all Flemish job seekers, employers, VDAB consultants and partners.

As QA Officer, you define the strategy concerning quality and ensure the follow-up, management, elaboration and implementation of the software quality processes (QA, QC and Testing) as well as their optimization.

What will you do?

  • You determine the strategic, tactical and operational approach to quality and work out its implementation. You implement and follow up on projects and/or initiatives.
  • You can set a longer-term (+1 year) goal and develop a plan to achieve it. Your Agile mindset supports you in this.
  • You come up with improvement proposals in the field of QA, not losing sight of the big picture and taking into account the different teams and divisions within I&T. Therefore, you also like to stay up-to-date with the latest QA trends and developments, to apply them as appropriate.
  • The test team is managed daily from the Team Lead Developers, as a coach you will be responsible for helping them further in their career path and development.
  • You will support the organization and teams in the decentralized integration of quality standards and process changes.

What you have:

  • You have experience in quality assurance in a similar position. Anyway, you are an IT all-rounder with knowledge of or experience in analysis, development and testing.
  • You have good experience in analyzing and setting up process improvements. Change management is no stranger to you. Your project management skills will ensure that these projects are requested, set up and executed.
  • You have experience with techniques/methodologies to improve quality.
  • It is a nice-to-have if you have experience in thorough software testing, IT architecture and operations, assessment methodologies (e.g. CMMI, SCAMPI,…) and Agile at Scale methodologies such as Scrum at Scale, SAFe or LESS.
  • You have strong communication skills in Dutch.
  • Furthermore, you are someone who is analytically minded and solution-oriented in thinking and working. You like to have and take responsibility. A healthy balance between team play and autonomy is natural.
  • Your coaching skills help others develop and you enjoy learning yourself. Furthermore, you are a networker: you enjoy working with different stakeholders at different levels.

What we offer:

  • You will become part of a fast-growing and dynamic company that is open to your input and ideas.
  • You will receive a competitive salary and a complete benefits package(company car, fuel card, laptop, cell phone allowance, Cronos Care benefits etc.).
  • You will work in a no-nonsense environment with direct access to management and become part of the renowned Cronos Group.
  • You will have ample opportunity to participate in internal and external training, seminars and knowledge sharing events.
  • Depending on your motivation, ambitions and performance, we can offer you numerous interesting career opportunities.
  • You will be supervised by M2Q consultants with extensive experience.
