VDAB is the “Flemish Service for Employment and Vocational Training” and is Flanders’ employment service.
The service has counterparts in Brussels (Actiris), Wallonia (Forem) and the German part of Belgium (Arbeitsamt Ostbelgien).
The service also cooperates with job boards (Jobat, Stepstone) and the European Union.
The 3 focal points are: Jobs – Training – Orientation
Jobs focuses on finding a job, providing job suggestions, applying for a job including tips and tricks, saved searches, etc..
Training focuses on finding training or curriculum, free and paid options, online learning, test your skills and knowledge, learn and work, etc..
Orientation focuses on what job suits me, career counseling, what to do if you are just out of school, temporarily unemployed, e.
